With this post, Everyday Debate reaches a milestone of sorts.  This is the 100th post.  Its probably not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.  It certainly means little to any ordinary debater or coach who looks to this site for topic information.  Nevertheless, I felt it necessary to point it out for my own personal satisfaction so please allow this indulgence.

Today is also the day, I will officially kick off my debate season, as our team emerges from the beaches, parks, pools, parties, and various activities of summer and begins to think about debate again.  We will gather, begin to assess the new novices, and start the process of gearing minds toward the lofty goals of debate supremacy.  It is always a goal though not always realized. Each year has its own personality and challenges and this is certainly not an exception to that rule.

As of this posting, we are two days from seeing the first NFL debate topics for LD and PF.  The September PF topic will have little value to us other than provide a chance for practice and skill development.  Our first sanctioned tournaments do not begin until October. Regardless, I will post my topic analysis and continue to do so through out the season.

Okay, back to work and enough self-indulgence.  Here we go...
