Public Forum Sept/Oct Potential Topics

Hello Debaters.
Are you having a great summer?  If you did not get a chance, you should take a look at the NFL Nationals final round videos for Policy, LD and PF.  I think everyone that was there will agree the debates were very interesting and for some, extremely entertaining.  I definitely suggest you take a look. (I hope the link works for you.)

NFL has now released the list of potential topics for 2013 Sep/Oct Public Forum.  The topic area is nuclear proliferation.  Coaches will be voting for one of the following topics:

Resolved: Unilateral military force by the United States is justified to prevent nuclear proliferation.

Resolved: Proliferation of nuclear weapons is a greater threat to the United States than proliferation of biological and chemical weapons.

The topic of nuclear proliferation can be interesting.  I mean, I think everyone can agree the spread of nuclear weapons should be limited.  But trying to quantify the threat in relations to other bad but perhaps not quite as large impact scenarios seems like an exercise in frustration for the CON.  But, hey, perhaps I'm wrong.  After all, I have been spending much more time under the hot sun lately since returning from Alabama.
